THINK BEFORE YOU LEAP
by Guest on Dec 24, 2008 08:56 AM

Hi, representing a student of a Tier II BSchool,I just wanna say one thing! When an aspirant joins such an institute, he wants to be placed in a conglomerate and is not open to join mid size cos. While a student from a Tier I BSchool has the drive in him to change things in a smaller co. and then drive up his career.I guess we need to change the mentality of ourselves as students and at the same time institutes(esp Tier II) should stop glamorizing the placements with BIG names and inflated pay packs. The fact is whichever Tier II Bschool an aspirant joins,in any condition of Economy, the take home salary matters and not the 'CTC'. This take home is never more than 35000-40000..even in 2006-2008 batch! There has to be a reason bigger than placements to join a Tier II BSchool and I think thats where the directors and top managements of BSchools should focus on- MAKE THE INSTITUTE BETTER IN TERMS OF ACADEMICS AND CORPORATE INTERACTIONS- the placements will follow suit.
Also, I request the aspirants to ONLY DO AN MBA THIS YEAR IF THEY ARE TRUELY INTERESTED IN..ELSE POSTPONE YOUR MBA

My bschool K.R.MANGALAM GLOBAL INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT LOCATED IN DELHI HAS NOT BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN 100% PLACEMENT THIS YEAR DUE TO SAME CAUSE.WHEN THES STUDENT JOIN BSCHOOL HAS NOT EXPECTED THIS SITUATION ITS ADVISABLE TO STICK TO LOW SALARY RATHER THAN WITHOUT JOB AND UNCERTAINTY.HOPE FOR BETTER TOMORROW.
