Thats true. Risk is everywhere but some points listed by author are really true like the condition of UP, Bihar. Political turmoil there. Corruption is everywhere in world but when we look at developed countries like US, UK they donot compromise or do sub standard tasks on important issues like security and financial reforms and development of citizens and punishing the crime etc. The limits of corruption and mal practices are crossed in India and so we are still a developing country. Its attitude of people as well as politicians...everyone just wants to make money but noone wants to do quality work. Quality in everything: infrastructure, road construction, land management, beautification of cities and towns, security equipments, govt. education, jurisdiction, law & order, cleanliness, traffic rules, food items, nutrition for women & children, basic hygeine. We donot have quality in anything...how do we dream to bring India to a developed country mark. Till now we have not been able to tackle the menaces of dowry, girl infanticide, unequalities because of bad attitude of people ..they donot want to change. Everyone knows that root problem of India's slow progress & development is population but noone wants to bring strict rules to limit child count like China. Just beacause of vote bank politics. Becoz if anyone will bring strict reforms the orthodox people start revolts & even if brought in law people dont follow because dont have strong penalties and transparent law keepers

Nice article with good examples... but when did 1000s of people get killed in anti-muslim riots? More hindus have died in riots than have muslims.

Why talk of Hindus and Muslims.
The fact is that they were all Indians. Is that not enough?
