I guess it is high time the government and universities in India start to think about raising the standard of education. When you give peanuts , you get monkeys. Make it attractive for bright students to pursue their interest in academic line and to do quality researches by matching their remuneration to a level which a PG student is offered by corporate houses. If we don't do quality research and make our own niche markets, we will be just doing the 'cooli' work for outsiders like most of our engineering grads do.
