EQUIPMENTS WHICH R DESIGNED AND MANUFACTURED IN CHINA R WORKING IN CHINA 'S MANY CITIES AND THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY BUT NO WHERE WE HV SEEN POWER CUTS POWER FAILURES ETC ALL UNDERGROUND TRAINS IN MANY CITIES IN CHINA CARRY MORE THAT 55 LAKHS PEOPLE DAILY EQUIVALLENT TO INDIAN CITY OF MUMBAI BUT NO WHERE PROBLEMS LIKE WE FACE IN MUMBAI , TRAINS R FATR SUPERIOR SERVICE IS EXCELLANT , THIS IS POSSIBLE ONLY BECAUSE OF PROVEN TECHNOLOGY WE BUY CHINESE GOOD ESPECIALLY FROM HONG KONG AND WE GET MATERIAL TO WHAT PRICE WE GIVE. BUT CHINESE TURBINES, AND ALL MACHINERY INCLUDING HIGH PRESS BOILERS R NO WHERE IMFERIOR THAT AMERICAN AND THAT TOO LOWER PRICE THAN INDIAN , THEY R HERE TO HIT INDIAN MARKET ANAND MOKASHI

Chinese tech may not be inferior..but what they supply to us is definitely of questionable quality and reliability..their objective is ensure that we do not succeed!

every company aims to earn more money. we are supplying the relative products according to every market's demand. if India wants the balance between the price and quality, Chinese products would be a better choice in some areas. of course India and Indian people have other choices, you are free to choose, right?

Your last line gives the answrer Mr.Lee, We in Inia are free to choose but in China it is upto the Govt who will check and allow entry of foreign goods. Even after being lowest for an Indian project by Chinese EPC contractor we had been told "sorry we cannot buy from you. Our Govt will not allow" Note that was for an Indian project and we understood they took quotation just to have Indian price idea. For this leniency by our Govt. Chinese are taking advantage but we will have to pay heavy price for this.

you are wrong. have you ever been to China? in China you will find more foreign products, imported or locally produced by foreign companies, than any other country in the world. It might surpise you, and i was certainly surprised and outraged, to hear that a provincial level government iussed a decree to the effect that only entities using foreign equipments is qualified to BID for a domestic motorway construction project.

dude, you are really out of the depth here. why would chinese companies do such a thing? don't they want to have am ever-increasing share of the market by proving to the Indian customers that their tech is up to the work and they are relaible partners? we chinese don't want to see a weak India. we want a sucessful and prosperous India that is able to play its role in the affairs of the world. India and China together will be forces strong enough to challenge the domination by the west of the world.

Mr.Anand what you have shown in your statistics are Chinese equipment working in China but do you know that they manufacture equipment based on the country to which they are supplying. I am engaged in equipment sector which has regular Chinese contact but my experience is horrible except for the initial price level. Nothing will happen to contracting companies who only guarantee equipment for a short period but End users who are allowing or placing order on Chinese will certainly have tough time after few years of operation. Please note Chinese after sales is the worst in the world. This I am telling from my practical experience and contact with Chinese. Tell me what is our daily experience with Chinese consumer durables? Are they really durable or we buy it just for the price tag?
At the end just tell me one thing, can we supply equipment to China offering lower price? Answer is NO, they will simply not allow except for buying raw materials at very cheap price which is insufficient in their country.

There is nothing to be narrow minded abt when security of the nation is being openly sold...it is quite well known that China is a security threat and it intentions towards India in doubt!
