not disclosing the reason for rejection
by kesav kutty on Sep 07, 2007 05:09 PM  | Hide replies

I have applied 3 times in last 2 years, but all of them got rejected....I dont have the reason from them...I gave them all documents whatever they asked....so right now they are having my personal information...should be banned or give the same to some other agency.

ICICI

ICICI bank has a lien on your bank account. If you dont pay the card on time they can take the money directly from your Savings account.

They are really really bad
by New Login on Sep 07, 2007 05:06 PM

My friend has an SBI card which he tried to close before he left the country.. We went around to three different offices in Bangalore but no one could direct us to where we could close the card.. And the buggers now have the cheek to call me and offer an SBI card to me.. you refuse them and they have the audacity to say "Ours is the best service and card cause we are a public sector bank" ...Yeah right.. Citibank is ok.. as long as you use the card wisely. They dont have any issues and service is also decent. But please its a request stay away from SBI Credit cards..

This is Great News

The idiots have refused me an SBI credit card THREE times for reasons which "cannot be disclosed". And their agents have the gall to call me time and again for getting an SBI credit card.

Although, after going through the comments here I wonder if it is worth it...If it is not, then why are they acting so pricey? Typical sarkari attitude!!!

PATHETIC
by MG on Sep 07, 2007 04:54 PM

SBI cards are pathetic and thugs. Their call centre is very rude. The cards JV is a blot in the name of SBI. They cheated me initially by having fine prints in all their policies. Ingact they have behaved like a foreign company with the sole intention of misleading customers and making. I wish the RTI was there before I cancelled my card with them. I wanted to raise so many issues but in vain...

I am very happy. The CEO of the JV should least be kicked hard...

Well talk about icici, they had the cheek to withdraw money from my saving account to clear my credit card outstanding!! They did this even before they could confirm they sent me a statement or called me for my dues! All you out there be aware, icici bank is on the prowl.

You can complain to the Banking Ombudsman for your state with all relevant documents or better still sue them for mental harassment for a million dollars.. :-)

SBI CARD
by sada anand on Sep 07, 2007 04:45 PM

It was so unfortunate that SBI Card even charges for any declined transactions while u attempt a transaction using your card in their ATMs. It is acceptable that we are charged for any successful transaction thru ATM card. It happened to me that when I tried 4 times to withdraw the cash, i got charged 4 times Rs.21.87, totalling Rs.87.00. Those days are not far awas that these Credit card companies even charge for talking to their helpline number.
