Cause for concern
by Ganesh Parameswaran on Oct 10, 2007 02:00 PM  | Hide replies

That, the chocolate industry is looking up, profits are rising and newer players are coming in, is without doubt a cause for concern for parents and school heads. Too much of chocolate and other junk food coupled with too little of physical activity is playing havoc with the health of children and obseity is certainly a rising issue that needs serious attention from all concerned. It is necessary that we are not shortsighted in our outlook.

true. anything that crosses a limit is bad. increasing the consumption of chocolates just for celebration is marketing. chocolate as indulgence is fine, we have indian sweets doing the same thing. but chocolate as a health food or say health benefits is farcical.

Cadbury way

Cadbury's chocolate range sets back India to the times when Ambassodar and Premier Fiat cars models had monopoly.Chocolates are heaty yet the Cold countries have a much wider assortment of chocolates than India when actually it should have been the reverse.I suppose it is great Marketing skills that enables Cadbury to still market the same old boring types.

Bury the cadbury and trust our desi sweets. Which are more healthier, sweeter and better in taste.

please explain how the indian sweets are healthy ? if they are rich in fat etc. they both stand on the same scale. just because chocolates are foreign recipes, doesnt make it bad.

We have read about the quality of Cadbury a lot, worms in chocolates, etc. They were voted the worst chocolate in the UK during the last year's Easter.

they were the worst agreed. i believe its a case of isolating a leader. its good that they were targetted, theyve pulled up thier socks now. scores of local brands fare horribly bad in many metrics, from food colour, contamination to preservatives, and packaging/ worms. critics have a place, but not lopsided criticism

THE ART OF GIFTING - THE CADBURY WAY
by Mukesh Anand on Oct 10, 2007 01:44 PM

WE CAN HELP CADBURY ACHIEVE MORE SALES IN RURAL INDIA.

We at PROJECT HEALING TOUCH are gearing up to make Refrigerators available to Every Tractor Owner at a special price.
Once this is done CADBURY can reach more households in RURAL MARKETS.

We do this by appointing EX SERVICEMEN as dealers/ Sales Promoters for Refrigerators

We are presently associated with PEPSI in this project

We would be happy to give the CADBURY team a good boost in sales, by launching this project in Haryana-- Faridabad/Ambala/Mahendergarh- in particular the surrounding RICH Rural belt

Gifting donations
by r s on Oct 10, 2007 01:24 PM  | Hide replies

No doubt gifting has become a bit 'boring' today.
What we found novelty in was making a charity act double our gifting impact. We used https://www.giveindia.org/give/common/giftadonation.jsp
Nice concept worth trying before this too gets boring :)
