Why do we need a Chineese product in our Country. We have lots of unemplyed person in our own country. And I think our Indian comp may produce Good quality product by them self. So we can avoid the import duty. But before that we need to reduce the corruption in all level, so the Bribery become less.
Hope to have a Good Indian Industry

hi, let me put my opinion first,
chinese products are cheaper because of their low manufacturing costs, moreover the quality is also poor. lets not compare a honest nation like india where patent rights are gaurenteed with copy cat china.
Since duty will be cutfor goods imported from singapore, surplus computer items in sing moves to india at lower cost, which will increase the profits for service sector companies which is a good omen, however other manufacturing sectors may be hit. More effects can only be decided based on amount of duty cut, currency of singapore doller, talent and labour pool in India, etc. I feel its good because currently India is developing in service sector front.
Regards
Virat

There is only one way to have good indian industry - to develop the value added industries and to train more and more people to set up industries - Most of the Indian people do not know to set up and run industries - machineries and know how in not available in India. That is the only reason why most of the goods are from China .China is not cheaper than India -daily living in India is far cheaper than China- actually there is no body manufacturing goods in India which is equivalent to China . If also then there will be one or two factories - whereas in China there will be 1000 of factories - whole of the world is buying chinese goods , so the quality is no question - it actually depends up on the price you give. This is the only reason why India is behind China - though we can speak English and we are better , we are not able to do it - only because of foolish government people and politicians - who never thought about public .We are successful in service industry only because we can speak english and we have some Indians who are in US and Europe and we are cheaper otherwise this industry also would have gone to CHINA .There is no contribution of Govt or Politicians to bring the service sector to India .Actually there should be a strike during the elections - to make the government realise and the next coming govt take steps.
