Can one open two different nre as well as nro with two different bank

My question is can an indiviual open a new nre & nro a/c with a xyz bank when he already have both of them form another bank,zyx

It is bullshit but it is true.

The Finance Ministry instead of concentrating on preventing black money is putting a lot effort on minor things like this. I dont know how does it make a difference if an NRI has a savings account versus a NRO account. How does it matter to the government

Chidambaram has always targetted the easy prey i.e. the salaried class. We have our bank account with PAN info. Credit cards or any other financial services we use are totally transparent, instead of encouraging people to do so, they are coming heavily with on rules on us.
