WE cant hide our poverty in disguise and boast to western countries or other that we are booming and a superpower in terms of economy 2020-2025-2030.Its really a pity that thousands of infants die in our country for milk.

Do you really enjoying or proud to hear these. First think about the poor people who is working hard for geting one time food. Think about poor innocent kids, think about the poor parents who is dying to take care of their kids. These rich people will be richer by richer day by day, the case of poor is so opposite. More over the poor is pushing by the real estate mafia from their land to some slums. This is our great nations ideology

check Poverty_in_India in wikipedia.

Despite a veneer of expansionist, "superpower" government priorities like nuclear weapons and a space program, India has more than 836 million people living on less that 50 cents ($2 in PPP) a day according to a recent report.

distribution in India is fairly uneven, with the top 10% of income groups earning 33% of the income.[3] Despite significant economic progress, 1/4 of the nation's population earns less than the government-specified poverty threshold of $0.40/day. Official figures estimate that 27.5% [4] of Indians lived below the national poverty line in 2004-2005.[5] A 2007 report by the state-run National Commission for Enterprises in the Unorganised Sector (NCEUS) found that 77% of Indians, or 836 million people, lived on less than 20 rupees per day[6] with most working in "informal labour sector with no job or social security, living in abject poverty."[7]

India has a higher rate of malnutrition among children under the age of three (46% in year 2007) than any other country in the world.[2][9]
