It is surprising to see the number of morons in India to be bitten by the socialist bug and even after the dismal failure of all socialist models across the world, we still repeat the same nonsense as a part of our intellectual discourse. Its a corporate's job to earn profits, create wealth not to do social service. By creating wealth, they pay taxes which sould help the government to invest in social and other infrastructure. Its really funny to see a man who heads government that scores marginally above "0" in infrastructure development, which has criminals in the cabinet lectures corporates about conspicious spending and morals. Mr Singh, the poor never had a problem with people earning money as long as it was legitimate, they always had issues with non performing politicians and governments. And if you still dont realise it, your government scores very high on giving speeches and delivering nothing!
Let the politicians start "charity at home" by vowing not to take bribes or favors from the business houses - let them condemn taking election fundraisers - only then such "comment" are relevant - no one can ask others to start a good cause without himself doing the same
It is true that private sector top executives are paid well but govt should understand a few things 1. It is not easy to retain good people given poaching by MNCs to gain a foothold in India 2. Private sector already pays high taxes (though there may a lot of money laundering) 3. What about the business class people(especially shopkeepers) who do not pay taxes ? 4. What about the corruption in public sector and laxity in government offices ?
PM is himself a renowed economist, did he forget the basic demand-supply curve ...
CSR need not be done as Charitable work . It can be done to help the challenged/underpriveleged who in return reciprocate by marketing goods in the remotest villages
We at MISSION VIJAY-2 have the support of 15 major Corporate Houses - who all benefit by having Ex Servicemen as their dealers in villages
This is what CSR is all about-- EVERYBODY SHOULD WIN
