Emmanuel J Jaikumar
Changing company
by Emmanuel J Jaikumar on Jun 02, 2007 03:21 PM

As per the lawsuit..."When she returned to work in August 2004, things got worse, the complaint said. On the windshield of her car somebody wrote, 'go back to your dirty country and roll in the shit,' 'you bitch, you don't want to live or what,' 'we are going to kill you soon, just leave or we will get you soon.'""

-Why did she returned back to job if she has so many problems already at work??
-How these things work in Inia? If some one doesnt like job or has any problem at work..he or she generally switches compnies for a peaceful work. Why this is no tried by Neelima?
-Not all whitemen are like this..So my opinioin, why did she cntinue to work there??Is it some other reason or a personal ego and grudge against colleagues makes her to do this?

What is the correct definition of Racialism is anyone knows. Is office politics can be consider as Racialism.
It is Rediff fault, without getting the truth they just print this article.
I am not against Neelima but i want know the route cause of this problem why this problem happens is Rediff know this.

There are still so many Questions to answer.
Why Neelima's US Indian colleagues and US Indian community not supporting her?.
Why her company had Sacked her?.
Why she lost the case?.

Conclusion is don't blame anyone until you don't know the true picture or truth.

Fake Diploma?

I bet the computer diploma that Neelima claims to have is nothing but a fake piece of paper that can be bought in one of the many copyshops in Hyderabad!!

It is shame on you to make such an allegation and it's highly irrelevent. Support her if u can, or keep ur mouth shut. Someone is fighting against racial discrimination and we should support her, morally and financially, if possible.

Dear Mr. Vyalar Ravi (Minister for NRI Affairs)

If you find the time in the midst of your issues with the Guruvayoor Temple, may be you can take up this case and give some help to this lady and show that the Govt of India cares for all Indians. Or may be it is too much to expect such help from Ministers!!!!

If no one in the embassy or even her own colleagues are helping her out, doesn't thatmean that she is actually lying? Do us Indians have to get this stupid when nationalism is sung in front of us?

She is LYING, get this in your heads please. There are so many clues in her story to tell you that. Her husband is a project Manager (PMS make BIG money) and his health insurance would be able to cover for his wife too. STOP blasting Indians for not helping others abroad because we do. But not to liers.

Instead of doing guess work, why don't u guys keep quite. Support her if you can or keep quite. I don't think she is lying. If she is a liar she wouldn't fight a case for 2 yrs, spending so much money and time.

Indian embassy
by Anish Nair on May 26, 2007 06:06 PM

It is sad to hear the news of Mrs Neelima being victimised by her collegeaues. The Indian embassy or the govt should take action to prevent more of this discrimination.

This is a fact that your color of the skin makes you superior rather than your hard work..irrespective of religion,Which means even if you are a christian or muslim.Due to Indians dark color thay are suffering in Europe and America...Remember the words "DONT BELIEVE AN ENGLISH MAN IN THE DARKNESS".I really dont understand why christianity among english teaches racial discrimination. Is int it quite "slow poisoning"???

It not our country..
by Jaydeep Thaker on May 26, 2007 05:55 PM

The lady deserves help from fellow Indians in US, if her story is true. It seems she has no proofs to substantiate her claims.

The US is a far more meritocratic society than India and this one incident is not representative of the majority of the workplaces there.

The outsourcing backlash is there and is also hence an election issue. Indians are not politically active enough in the US to make it count. One cant expect the PM to take up every small issue with Bush as has been mentioned here.

India itself is divided on class/caste/religion/language everywhere. It is in our mindset to do that. However all said and done I have never seen it reach the kind of 'racial' discrimination levels it does in many western countries.

All forms should stop asking for religion/caste details. Stop all caste based reservations. If at all they should be based on income levels. All these things should be pushed back into the private domain. No political party in INdia has the balls to do this.

Why she should come back?? She is fighting discrimination that she faced from her colleagues. Help her if u can or keep ur mouth shut. Ur thought must be driven from jealousy of NRI's. FYI, Gandhiji did the same, in SA.

Sacked NRI IT analyst vows to fight on in US

Indians are ruling in the service sector. We are not copying the work of whites. It is our hard work which discriminate us from whites. The matter should be resolved internally by the company, it should not be in public. This will reflect the attitude of a company to feel their employees strong. I strongly condemned it.
