This prooves that IIM grads hired by Ibankers in US are to gain an access into Indian market and indian scenerio which thay are not aware off. It is not for their brains as in US they dont lack Fianacial Wit or Intelligence that they have to come so far spend and hire frrom a college of third world country which doesnt figure withing top 50 B Schools of the world.

great point! I have seen many IIM graduates barely holding on to a mediocre job with a fancy title here in U.S. but when go back to their home country big IB firms shower them with lax salaries and titles for the same reason you mentioned. I have worked here in the U.S. with some IIM graduates and honestly they are less than average when it comes to anything outside of the books they memorized during their graduate program.

Well.....most of the IIM grads recruited by I banks work overseas with no involvement in any Indian M & As, and out of them a large part dont even work in M & A division in Ibanks. They work in fields like trading, structuring etc. So the premise is basically weak and absolutely wrong.
