These concepts are good to hear , but does not work. I had worked for ECIL , which has it's own colony in AS Rao Nagar , Hyderabad. The good people still left that company. In fact many people were sick of seeing and interacting with the same set of people both at work & home that they started developing hatered for their colleagues. I now work for a company called GSS America , www.gssamerica.com . it has a very low attrition rate as compared to industry standards. Why? I have yet to zero on the cause

the biasedness may be the factor and too much favourism. Undeserving getting all the benefits and hard working and brilliant people had been let down and humiliated
well... the article says to create an embeddedness or bonding among the employees .. which i totally agree... but the downside of this is ... if couple of people quit for some reason, the whole "embedded" group will quit.

ther eal reason for people leaving is never the money or i shud say is seldom money. they might say it but having a bad boss is ther eal reason of people leaving their jobs. No wonder it is difficult to find and retain quality managers and even more difficult to find leaders.

Dear Murali, I agree with you but that is applicable to only one section of employees which would contribute only 10 to 15% of the whole. But we also need to understand that 'HUMAN NEEDS ARE UNLIMITED', ask any employee why he/she leaving an Organizaion, 50-60% would say 'LESS PAID', but how many people would say, 'NO GROWTH' or 'TO TAKE MORE CHALLENGES'??? Self actualization is too far from the REAL WORLD....atleast in INDIA.
