There is nothing shocking, that less womens are in the top management in India especially. The reasons are : 1. Natural limitations being a women : Like interuption in service b'use of pregnancy.
2. Non Reliable : may have to resign b'use of relocation problem after marriage, lot of womens are giving resign after marriage, just b'use husband is from other locality.
3. Mind of womens is generally not tough enough to take hard and quick decisions. for ex. sacking the people working under them is not easy for them.
4. Can't work in late night in case of urgency b'use of dirty Indian society mindset and very hard culture values.
5. some of the mens working around imagine womens as their sex partner (day dreaming)and hence lot of chances of errors in work from mens just b'use of one women.
This are all the reasons, Employers are thinking Womens are not reliable or rather suitable at top positions. There is nothing to surprise.

It's all in your mind....Men can't tolerate a woman being their Manager. The Indian men still hold on thier fake proud whoch is a cause of dsitress to women.Today's women is capable of taking all decisions whether at home or at work...it's a matter of giving them a chance!
Generally smart and ambitious MBA's don't like to work in an organization where women are top managers. Few of the reasons include- lack of higher pay comapred to other industries, decisions are made without male input, too much work to men. Women executives tend to restrict top men stock options, bonus, and space to grow. I see no reason why there should be higher amount of women at the top management, other than Daddy's (sugar included) girls
In this minority age this article has all the right sounds. Apply reservation for women minorities and impose penality on them if they share the proceeds of such reservation for their male children- Just to avoid hypocracy.
When we analyse the startup of some of the major industries, there is a very hard story of a single person toiling in the initial stages and brick by brick builds up an organisation and later on his family members develop the business organisations without undergoing the initial struggles of the man who built up the foundation. This should be taken up as the yard stick to assess the percentage of women enterpreneurs in India specifically and world over in general.

Good point. In fact, given the status of women in India vis-a-vis poverty, societal norms, etc, 14% is quite an achievement, in my opinion.
