This sure is a wishful thinking unless it is backed up by sheer hard work. Americans are ruthless when it comes to safeguarding their interests. they have proved it time and again. Though that doesnot give them superiority. Their apparent superiority comes through their presentation of anything they do. Passion and focus are key ingradients of success, We has Indians are full passion but we have full passion with confused focus. If we focus on growth and development our own way rather than modelling it on somebody else we will be good. Why we need to have Shanghai as model for Mumbai. Cleanliness is a cleanliness why we need something else to know what a cleanliness is. this webage and associated interactions will help us to exchange ideas and grow. I am sure we will do it

Hi John,
In which world are you living? do not mix a countries progress, growth with religion. Do not bring fundamentalism into every walk of life.
I will give you examples to show both sides of the coin:
1. japan is the 2nd largest economy even though its a small country. their USD foreign exchange reserves are 1.6 trillion. Budhism is the main religion. Should half the population get converted to Budhism then?
2. George Bush vetoed a bill to fund stem cell research. stem cell research is very useful in curing fatal diseases like alzemier's diseases and cancer. The research involves destruction of stem cells for study purposes. Bush cites that it is againist Christianity to destroy life. His point might be valid for his beliefs but it is morally justified to let the cancer patients suffer?
So my dear John progress is not made due to religiuos beliefs of any faith. It is in the mindset of the general workforce and vision of great leaders and Entrepreneurs to move this country forward.

The fact that America is dominant in World Politics and also economics does have a bearing on The rest of the world including India. But look at it more closely you will find that once we are self suffecient in advanced tech and have secured food problems as well as that of education/ Health / Poverty etc I believe that American Influence will wane substantially.It is only our dependency that willwork against us.This could end due to various reasons- one of the paramount is developing our relations with other similar nations. At the moment there are none! Another ten years there are going to be few - India among them

asians outnumber europeans and americans by 4:1, so only after america & europe developed high-technology after 17th century were they able to counter the numerical superiority of asians.
