Indian businessmen are expert swindlers of Indian public

It is good news that Wal-Mart would be setting up shop in our country. But it is bad news that it would be doing so in collaboration with an Indian business enterprise. We all remember the time when we used to pay enormous sums of money for acquiring a colour television, music systems, cameras and other consumer electronic items. We also remember the hopeless Ambassadors, Fiat, Lambretta and Vespa for acquiring which we had to pay hell a lot of money as compared to prices in international market. I think Wal-Mart would only be destroying its credentials by joining hands with Bharti. Indian businessmen specialize in fleecing Indian public, they are worse than Shylock be it Tata, Birla, Bharti, Ambani etc.

I am sure Wal-Mart can make use of its Christian links through Sonia G to pressurise the Indian government to allow it to enter the Indian market on its own.

May be the US Government hasn't tried this route (No.10 route) to pressurise the Indian government into signing the Indo-US nuclear deal as well. If it had done so, Manmohan and other Indian politicians would have signed on the dotted lines long ago and by now a dozen or so reactors would have landed on our shores.

Indian govt wont accept if Walmart wants to open on their own. That's how the policy is writeen. I think every MNC needs a domestic partner, unless there are specific areas such as IT where any MNC can open shop on their own. But at least Walamrt is coming thruough Mittals. Enough of the Banias, Chettiars, and Settys. They have fleeced enough.
