Enquiry about TDS
by Guest on Mar 21, 2009 09:25 PM  | Hide replies

Dear Vikas,
My name is Amar.My salary is 8500 which is not covered under income tax. But the company is deducting TDS on my salary.Being a commerce student i know that i have to file income tax return to get the TDS deductions back.My question is that after filing my income tax return, the TDS deductions which the co. has deducted on my salary will be returned by the company itself or the Income tax Department? Please let me know as soon as possible as i am suffering this loss every month.

Reg Designation of Assessing Officer
by Nithya on Aug 04, 2008 06:22 PM

I have filed my Income Tax returns online for the financial year 2008-2009. I did not fill the "Designation of Assessing Officer" field while uploading the XML. Since my PAN address is in Mumbai, the "Designation of Assessing Officer" field was auto-generated with value "ITO WD 2(4), KALYAN/PNE/W/76/4". But, since I am residing in Kochi currently, I had to submit my acknowledgment at ITO in Kochi.
Can you please let me know if this would cause any problems.
Should the "Designation of Assessing Officer" field be strictly filled with the ward where I am submitting my acknowledgment, in case of e-filing?
Can you please clarify on this.Thanks.
