Recent news of great thefts/robberys in and around the suburbs of mumbai, the insurance is the best option. But unfortunately there is not much awareness amongsts the people pertaininf to Insurance related to house. Major policies selling in India are life. They do a great business here. House policy is definitely a good option to protect from perilsthefts.

A good article an eye opener for people who have to keep away from their homes on duties,transfer,holidaying,etc.. I Feel that in the present day circumstances all should take note and advantage of the house insurance schemes and protect the not only their future but also of their families and siblings.

Does any Insurance company insures only silver and gold articles and cash since many of the people who have availed housing loans have to necessarily insure their flat or house (which is mortgaged to financial institutions)? This questioned is posed in view of the fact that the robbers in todays world are interested only those articles which can be cashed immidiately and also which can be easily transported.
