u dumbo....it is compounded growth and not a linear growth.....also the rate at which it is growing today would obiviously increase.

India is adding about 60 million new subscribers every year (on an annualized basis at the rate of 5 million subscribers monthly for the last 8 months). The number of new handsets sold in the country is around 85 million a year (new subscribers replacement sales). The number of mobile subscribers in the country will cross 200 million around October 2007.

Not sure about Motofone in other states. In Tamil nadu & Karnataka, Motofone is a great Hit. The pricing is awesome.

Motorola has made a lot of change in the design over the last 1 year.
Definately value for money is the key for sucess but after design and usability/userfriendly
To beat the competation moto has to make their cellphones easy to use .

Agreed...I prefer using basic phone (with conf. facility, speaker phone, good battery life, sound quality). Recently bought a motorola after using nokia phones for the last 10 yrs. I had shunned motorola because of menu being complex and some basic features missing on the phone. The sound quality and menu is good but still lot of improvement is required on the key pad and adding features like seaker phone on basic sets.

agree, the menu on motorola was a peice of crap but now the new linux based one seems to be easier to use.Nokia have really set the standard for user friendliness and i guess that's a bit hard to beat now
