Mr Ratan Tata has truly made Indians proud with each of his achievements but the Nana is the Jewel of his achievements. Not only have our engineers achieved what other could not dream but he has also gave a true TATA character, think big but due it with quality and class and do not forget the common man. Congratulation MR TATA.It is you who should be given the Bharat Ratna Award
NANO is a fantastic achievement. Like NANO the group has many laurels to boast of, which is a matter of pride for every Indian. In 1967- %u201968, I worked inside Tisco's plant on behalf of a private company, when I got exposure to TATA culture; even the worker at the lowest level used to feel proud that he is working for TATA, which reminded me of the pride of ordinary Germans about Mercedes. Much before labor laws were introduced, Tata introduced the rules & benefits. For many years, Bihar had been uunruly; but Jamshedpur was an oasis in the desert, it still is one of the finest cities of India. If one visits the town office, he will come across various sayings of Jamshedji on development of townships. While in Mumbai, my company%u2019s business took me to Bombay House quite often. There on many occasions I came across the great JRD. Though I had nothing to do with him, his modesty, gentlemanliness, simplicity and care for the elderly staff (which included drivers and peons even) surprised me. Always I saw JRD traveling alone without any aid and carrying the same leather bag. Once, in the queue for security, the old man was standing immediately before me; it was a long queue and I could make out his bag was quite heavy. So I offered to carry it. He turned around; put his hand on my shoulder and thanking me he said, %u201C son, the day I am unable to carry my bag, that%u2019s the day for me to retire%u201D. Ratan Tata has carried that tradition very efficiently. KUDOS to
RE:RATAN TATA INDIA's SHINING JEWEL

As someone who has grown up in Jamshedpur, I can vouch for the fact that the city is a beauty to live in...though my father did not work in any of the Tata companies, he's had to deal with the Tata's quite often. And from all our conversations, I have only heard pretty stories about the company and its management. I have had friend's whose parents belong to the Tata's extended family (read: its employees) and from them I have only known what it means to be a good corporate leader. I strongly feel that if each Indian city has its own TATA, then each city can have happy and contented dwellers such as Jamshedpur!

HI Ak i think you are sick ..who cant stand a decent conversation in a well mannered forum.. Cynical Guys like you are the pain in the wrong place for our country. Let alone about expecting guys like u achieving .0001% of what Tata’s have achieved. We can’t even expect guys like you to zip your trap in places decent enough were you don’t fit in. How do you face yourself every day when you look into the mirror with an attitude like that? Kudos! To your family who can digest you 365 days.

We appreciate the innovative and thoughtful mind of Mr Tata. Just as he has come out with nanocars, a concept of nanohousing for 1lakh for the family should be made as a reality.
