If there is requirement, companies hire. When it is a sluggish market, companies fire. I don't see what else they can do. If a company is not getting enough money, where do they pay the employees from? If market is hot, employees ask more money. When market cools, it effects everyone. How else can it work???
I agree with the outsourcing of termination. The outsourcing cos need to make sure that they adopt the reservation policy during termination. For instance 69% of the forward castes will be terminated first. Then appropriate %s of SC/ST/BC/MBC etc will be terminated. This is how we can establish a healthy and progressive corporate environment.

Hi Nonsence, really your name suggesting your mind. Try come out of this type of Govt Employee Image. Your are just writing like a Politician. Dont put this type of remarks on the Discussion Board which are simply rubbish. Use this Discussing Board to make a good community of Peole who can exchange the thaoughs. Till the Date no company in india hired the employees on cast/community basis and not sued the employee on the basis of Hire/lower cast. If employee are not having the work for the employer,Companies are sacking the employee. This is always the nature of Private Job. Suppose your home you are having "Kamwali Bai" and you found that her services are no more needed or you can hire a lady who is taking less salary than the present you will remove her. Where is cast then?. Man grow up fast and be a responsible citizen. India requires people like you who can make change.
outsourcing of all possible verticals are happening . this one is not exception . even if one is fired plenty of jobs are there . as far as we have learnt enough in current job we can get a good job. there is just not enough candidates in many industries. even in worst case we can get lot of projects if we have a website . freelancing is the saviour. this is applicable to all countries . internet has made this possible.
should be sweetened by good severance packages based on number of years put in. Atleast that will lessen the impact and help the employee till he/she gets a new job. And if the severance package is based on number of years it will help in retaining employees as they will know that even if you fired you will not be totally penniless
