Demand for manufacturers or firmware people
by ramesh babu on Aug 07, 2007 11:31 AM  | Hide replies

In my opinion as we are getting into 45nm & finer technologies, we should have well equipped lab to produce quality chips on wafer. so there is lot of scope for chip foundry & the library(more rules) design.

perhaps FPGAs is what indians should explore, primarily because those have more commercial and practical applications, like PLCs,
plus they can be reused, upgraded etc when needed

Chip designers will be benefited as both digital
and analog (high frequency) electronics need great demand for designing and also day's demand is microwave wireless devices.

bang on, analog is the unexplored field, the right thing to tap
there is as much as can be done with digital, and if you note, even today hi fi and hi end analog sound systems are costlier.
the other advantage of the same is that it will bring out research in material science etc.

Sachin, It would be of great importance to both Chip Designer & Software Developer. Moreover EDA is the future as nano technology has also started becoming reality. Indian will always be demand for their capability to work hard.
