The Mumbai Television Tower is the television tower owned by Doordarshan, the state-broadcaster located in the city of Mumbai (Bombay) in India. It stands at 300 metres (985 feet) and is the tallest structure in India. The red and white tower is an open latticework structure. The tower, located at Worli can be seen from most parts of South Mumbai.SO forget qutub minar and taj as long as tall building is concerned

The under construction Imperial Towers 1 and 2 at Tardeo in Central Mumbai when completed would be the tallest buildings constructed in India. It is to be 252 meters high with 68 storied structure.

But this ranking would again be rolled up in another 2 years time when the Hyat building in Mumbai is completed. Untill that is done the Imperial Towers at Tardeo Mumbai will still be the tallest buildings in Mumbai and India.

JUST CONSTRUCTING IS NOT ENOF
by TrueWorrior on Aug 05, 2007 01:49 PM

Just constructing is not enof.. maintaing it is more important. That is where the problem comes for india. we have lots of buildings but sorry to say becoz of poor maintainance they collapse well be4 time and second most important thing is raw material our builders want to save few bugs and they put the residence life at risk. so till we sort out this problems we cant imagine to make the mark in the world and competite with this rich countries
