I feel the media, particularly television is to be blamed for attaching unnecessary importance to such events. Infact, the viewers are fooled time and again.Arun Nayer and Liz Hurley wedding was another shameless display that lacks character and pedigree. Hightime we condemn such stupid act. Marriage is a scared event and should be viewed in proper perspective.

sincere doubt
by Satya V on Apr 18, 2007 09:36 AM

What benefit does Big FM Channel get by spending these amounts? I sincerely have my doubts..is it popularity or money? If its for popularity..I think it doesnot help because people forget things very soon and move on..
About money..how do they get back what they spend?

I seriously believe Rediff is paid by L'Oreal and other companies who calculate to promote their brands by giving advtlike news.

We love Rediff, that is why all try to apply brakes for not going to wrong directions...
Let authorities of Rediff say their stand. You are not supposed to be right person to say that.

I don't think anything wrong in what Rediff does - people always would like to know what is happening in Bollywood and to the celebrities. India has upteem number of heroworshippers, they have enven constructed temples for heroines and installed dieties of them. Rediff is a publication like any other channel/news paper... when we open the news papers, that also has 60% of filth and shit...that does not stop us totally from buying a news paper...because there are certain contents which are of importance and interesting..so we continue to buy and read...
likewise, among other important articles and news items, Rediff also keeps the heroworshippers happy by providing these types of masala...let us not make a hue and cry out of this.

I too !!!

Even though we dont like this we are reading cz after reading only we can give advice to others what to do ..what not to do...
If rediff can bring the notice on poor families those are struggling to get food for once a day...It will be gr8!!!

And the bulshit felllows who are spending such amounts in thir wedding ,if they will think atleast once about them then there will be no poverty in india...
Am i rt guys....?

Well said Mr Shiva... Why should Condom companies be left behind when Gems and Lipstick wish to share the limelight?

ha ha ha gud one...definatley Condom companies shld also use this ocaasion..they can rope in look alikes of ash n abhi..n can build a event around them...infact NIRODH (which govt of india promotes) should take a lead..as it will server dual purpose for them...n in future condom companies can come with some contest whose mega bumper prize will b the one used on the first nite by abhishek..
common we have hell lot of other things to discuss ...this post of mine is just in sheer frustation after repaeted bombardment of ashabhi wedding frm this sucking news channels...

hi guys,
we r all trapped. we just r not able to ignore them --- the reason we r wasting time reacting. The best lesson we as public can give is to ignore such news --- even the products they endorse --- same for the cricket. Things will fall in place automatically.

Hello Anu - Me too. Instead we should talk about the horrible massacre that happened in VA likking 33 people just days before Ash Abhi wedding. Countries, people, democracies need to talk of how and why can a 23 yr old have access to weapons? Why is there no law against it?
