it truly works. But it must not be only an illussion given. The faith once build in has to be kept up and all cares are required that such people are not hurt in any circumstances.

I totally agree with you. the feeling of belonging is ver important. each employee should be made to feel as if he or she is very important part of the company. Sometimes it is good to even involve the family of the employees in the organization.
innovative ways to stop attrition, ICICI doesn't negotiate to stop attrition. its very difficult to stop attrtion in IT sector, even if we implement all above measures to stop it, employees will still leave

Most of the employees that leave ICICI are not on their direct rolls. Dont get fooled by the attrition figures given by the company.
The way ICICI runs it s business is like a typical marwari shop .It is one of the worst bank that i have come across and i avoid that bank like plague .

This article shows - how to make people leave (create the attrition when needed!). IT cos recruit when they expect big projects and just need to create attrition when they fail to clinch the project. For IT - its normal as business!!

True all their employees are useless from senior managers to executives....the reason behind low attrition at ICICI bank is no one is ready to give them a job :)

ICICI's marketing is very aggressive. They employ (not as regular employee) all umemployed youths (without much of qualification) that make them aggressive to go after the customers. But the fact is their customers are not satisfied at all.

Some of the ICICI branches work 8am to 8pm. My relationship manager started boasting of excellent customer service. I asked him how many hours his employees work on an average. He could not hide the embarrassment on his face. They make them work like donkeys. If they are still able to keep the customer happy, it is purely because the employees are very resilient. If the ICICI management is bold enough, let them organize a survey in their organization assuring the anonymity of their employees and publish the results.

Cant ignore the fact that ICICI is no.1 bank in the private sector. Their customers are increasing by the day. So they must be like some of the good marwaris, who are normally very few in numbers. If the quality of the employees deteriorate, sure it will tell in the quality of their service & transactions with the customers. The bank knows this & will be taking corrective action.

Infy has also become a breeding ground for dissatisfaction with managers believing in giving false hopes to their subordinates..
