Good to hear of Karan's great sucess!
by on Jan 12, 2007 10:38 PM

I went to school with Karan back in India (Ootacamund), and even as a teenager I could see that he would be going places.
Now I just have to find Cobra beer here in California!

My name is ramana. I am from Hyderabad.
I have tasted one month back this beer in Tajkrishna hotel in Hyderabad with one of my friend who came from Denmark. He only order that beer. It was very very good taste. I never thought its an indian beer. After seeing this article I am very much happy that it is invented by a Indian that to Hyderabadi.

Initial Days of Cobra Beer
by BM on Oct 26, 2006 07:13 PM

Beginning considerable amount of effort gone in developing Cobra beer, I remember Keshav Quality head and I was Budding brewer working under Dr. Cariapa(Brew Master) guidance in giving shape to Cobra at Mysore Breweries Bangalore, Successful in converting Karans vague idea's in to Cobra Brand Flavour Profile,

It had unique Mashing regime, low temp and slow fermented, long matured at sub zero temp. double filtered, remain fresh for long time and shelf life over 6 months taking in to account of transit time from Bangalore to London

When brewed in Mysore Breweries Bangalore no off flavours, little bit sweet little bit bitter, full bodied and nice esters, i am not sure now as we do not brew Cobra any more

Thanks Karan for remembering Mysore Breweries team and Dr. Cariapa the founder of COBRA BEER
