It enriches learning
by DEV ROYCHOWDHURY on Oct 17, 2006 05:51 PM

It enriches, learning from successful enterprising CEOs of the most respected companies like TCS and TISCO.
Both Muthuraman Sir and Ramadorai Sir,are not only representing the best companies but also presentin g themselves as entrepreneur CEOs in every respect and success stories are only reflection of their foresightedness to carve both the companies up to this stature .As I personally see it.
I had the privilege to be associated with many senior managers of both the companies during my tenure with Calcutta Management Association as Deputy Director (Secretary).
I have found that all possible helps and supports are always available from these companies for good cause whether it is social or professional or for any developmental work, which shows openness to accept and help the people or purpose when needed, provided one has the clear vision. All these are possible because of the very strong work culture headed by the CEOs .
These success stories will certainly enrich learning of others.

TCS and TISCO - Conversation with Ramadorai and Muthuraman
by Saibabaa on Oct 16, 2006 08:07 PM

Great interaction with 2 great stalwarts from the Tatas flag bearers.
Bring in some more articles from the stalwarts in other industries.
We want to hear stories about Professional Managers like them and not about kids with golden spoons who have inherited their family business.

My comments on the chat with Tata Titans
by Deepak Jha on Oct 14, 2006 08:53 PM

Having been a part of Tata Steel,as a GT '91 batch from BIT Mesra, from 92-99 in it's cement devision at Jojobera in Jamshedpur,I had an opportunity to interact with Mr. Muthuraman, who was a Sr. VP(Cement Division)that time and even received a couple of prizes from him like Quality Award,Value Engg project's award etc.
I can never forget those good old days, being a part of a great company, attending it's Sr. Dialogue at JRD Tata Sport's Complex with Mr. JJ Irani ,the then MD with total openness and transparency, the caption this noble Co.had "WE ALSO MAKE STEEL" and so on...
Going through the interview with Mr. MuthuRaman,I went nostalgic and I can only say 'This is the undisputed No. I employer in the present WORld!and people like JRD,Ratan Tata,Russy Mody,JJ Irani and Muthu made it what it is and I say so with complete conviction....
