It's something to behold - when thousands of Harley bikers come roaring into town on their 'hogs' - truly out of this world. And harleys doen't come cheap - they cost anywhere from $7,500.00 for the most basic edition to $28,000.00. Royal Enfield could have become as much a cult offering as has Harley-Davidson, but apart from India, and Britain, very few people knows the brand - what a shame. The company has failed to take advantage of India's close economic ties with West Asia, Africa and other nations. Maybe the blame rests with the permit and license Raj?
ur article praises HD for 'bouncing back' by presuurising the govt. and banning competitive imports fr japan. Height of hypocracy for HD. We here've been doing almost the same thing, protecting unworthy indegeneous items and creating their empires.
