Tax exemption for co-applicant in case of housing loan
by nagaraj on Aug 28, 2006 09:57 PM

Dear sir, We have availed a Housing loan from a reputed bank, where in my father is the main applicant and me and my brother are the co-applicants. My father is a retried government servant and he was made the main applicant , because the land is in his name. The loan account is attached to the my dads SB account , through which they deduct the EMI every month. I take care of paying the entire EMI every month wherein I deposit the cash in my Dads savings account.

Query : Since I take care of the EMI of the loan. But I dont have any proof ( like bank statement ) to show I am paying the EMI. Can I avail the Tax exemption in my salary. If not , what steps I should take , so that I can avail the Tax exemption. Iam so much concerned about this is because , Iam really paying the EMI and dont want to miss the tax exemption.

My doubts:1. Call Center Training is excempted? If so should i give all the details they ask for?
