Friends, Brand recollection is all about the story not the product.Power of Brand is more effective than a product.World over that is even Shell Pecten was regarded as best Brand. So when branding comes it is away from the product per say.This is my view. Rediff cannot do anything. Thank you!!
It is a shame that Coca Cola is a leading brand inspite of being proven that it is stuffed with pesticides. I dont think this was just the right day for publishing these stats. Coincidently, it was only yesterday that, newtests have found that eleven soft drink brands, which in 2003 were found to contain pesticide residues, still contain a dangerous level of toxins, said the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) on Wednesday.
I think Rediff did not give much importance to that news instead seems to be supporting the Coca Cola campaign.
Anyway, I hate the Cola giants who are drying our water tables and owe not to drink a drop in my life. PREM
it is shere falsehood to publicise that coca cola is the top brand.in india both pepsi and coke have pesticides 52 times higher than the permissible limit.it is so reported in today's Hindustan Times. it is said to be fit to cleanse toilets.it is a dangerous item that should be banned in india.how can it be a top brand.

these stats r not based only on the indian market but is talking global. the fact is that coca cola has been 1 of the top 3 global brands for not 1 or 2 but for numerous years. in fact, regardless of all the negative publicity through tv, emails, etc coca cola still stands strong because people continue to perceive coke as a social drink.
I myself dislike coke (or pepsi for that matter) but we have to understand that there are those who still like it otherwise how could it be that after the cockroch publicity last time coca cola has continued to be such a popular drink.
Anyway, i think its time that coca cola and pepsi put their acts right because otherwise their brand image is definitely going to suffer in the long term.
