Or the Countries/Regional Enemies doing it. Cyber War?
The first one of course makes lot to believe, Nowadays nobody even sits on a pc for fun without money... Why will Virus generators and spreaders just do it, investing time, money, risk of crime, etc...
As stated in the article that phishing remains the primary threat, it reflects that internet surfers should be educated enough to prevent themselves from such threats and frauds.
there are other side effecte of cyber crime i suppose sir like video priracy of newly released films in mumbai, down loading sexually dirty porn material such as blue films which leads to social inbalance & rapes. Young college students forget their studies & simply kill their waluable time watching sexy clips, pictures. The new concept of cyber whore is killing man's basic property of living like man they behave like animals and incidences like nariman point police chauki rape & many more occur as long term result of cyber crimes. so all good citizens must unite together & stop this monster. other wise there will be germany type situation in indian continent including pakistan in next five years. we must act now to stop damages ok
Recently I renewed my Rediffmail Plus account and I received 2-3 emails from support@rediffmail.com confirming my payment, renewal and other details. This morning in my junk mail folder I receieved a mail from support@rediffmail.com.I opened it and it had an attachemnt.Then i wanted to open the attachment as it might contain some details of my account.But as the download of the attachment completed my Norten Anti Virus alerted me that they had detected a virus in this attachment and they have removed it.
I was lucky that I had Norten Antivirus system.
It just goes to show that these people who do these crimes are aware of our recent transaction and try to attack us with the recent email address we receive.
We are not considering the organized crime in the Cyberspace. Consider someone is buying an article on a B2C website, the website making the sale happens is not bothered about the legality of sale. A seller can sell even a smuggled article through the website. Buyer buys the article without bill and warranty, for the sale made website makes a clean profit. The website may say I am recording the income and paying income tax, but they are party to the crime of tax evasion. This is not being accounted for in the article which talks about the cyber crime. If this is also considered then cyber space is the biggest criminal area.
