Yes energy is one aspect that will be a catlayst for indias growth in the next few decades. But rather than spending research money on a depleting resource, why not spend the research money on something which india does not have to depend on other countries. Even though the amount thats going to be spent is not available, let the wealth be spent on research on developing other energy sources as well.
