Linux is here to give Freedon to Each human being on earth.
by Guest on Aug 14, 2008 02:04 PM

Hi all,
working and using open source Operating System gives us something more, rather than using the operating system, which didn't give any freedom, stability and security after paying lots of money.

If you are going to purchase new Mercedece Benz car, and you don't have access to open Bonat, then what is your situation? I can't even image such picture.

GNU/Linux will change people's thinking. It is right that right now there is no much more market share in Desktop PC with GNU/Linux. But i am sure, it will be there within short time, with UBUNTU Linux, Fedora Linux.

So, atleast to save money and time we all have to give one chance to GNU/Linux.

I wish we all can work together for not paying any cost for software, to save our future.

Thanks.
Regards,
Ashish BArot.

Linux growing
by Sai on Apr 30, 2006 11:47 PM

Yes! Linux is growing in the Indian Market. Primarily the developer base is huge and is capable of developing almost everything that a human mind can think of. The web is growing upto the sky's the limit. The webservers can easily be ported onto linux with the in-built faciltiy of mail, thanks to the developer base. That same application could otherwise have costed a lot to the companies.

Linux us growing well in India and across the world. Now, there's this first Indian Linux that is Enterprise Grade and has been released under GPL. Called OpenLX Linux it is available for free downloads. The publishers claim to have shipped over 31000 copies is last 13 months and are having regular buyers also. They have users across India and in 30 countries. The costs are very low, if you wish to buy and not download it free of cost. I have used their desktop and found it to be the easiest one to install and use. Yes, Linux is growing.

Linux a Big Hit in India
by Deepanjan Paul on Apr 09, 2006 09:06 AM

I am really happy to see such an overwhelming response from the Indian Banking Industry.I am personally a Linux Programmer and very strongly feel that Linux is the most Robust Operating System.Indians are still living under the Microsoft. It should be introduced to the school and college level to make it more user friendly.
The day will come when Linux will be the topmost Operating System not only in Severs but in Desktop version also.

Its not just the penguin
by Rohit Saraswat on Apr 09, 2006 03:33 AM

I guess the author of the article did not do much research on Linux itself. The mascot for Linux is not a mere penguin. its name is TUX.

Linux is here to stay
by Saish on Apr 08, 2006 08:17 PM

Linux has already grabbed a huge shared of the server OS segment. And with the increasing amount of attention paid, to user friendliness, it should soon begin to have an effect on the desktop segment. Linux, is an awesome operating system and a pleasure to work on, specially for programmers.
