As Haryana government is aware that much of the foreign exchange comes through call centres located at Haryana, they should enable the growth of call centres by enacting new rules to help the existing call centres. They should take back the old rules/laws which govern the working of women in night shifts. Rather they should allow women to work in night shifts, provided it is accepted by the women staffs. They should also ensure that companies give much assistance to women staffs working in the night shifts in the form of to and fro pick up from their house, proper security while they travel and also while they work in the night shifts. The government should enact rules on these things rather than not allowing women to work in night shifts quoting various silly reasons.
Banning night shifts for women is no solution to the growing crime or any issues related to women.The fact that women can work in night shifts is accepted provided the employers assure them of safety and security.And of all the office culture should make women workers a place to work comfortably with, who are no longer behind men in any aspect; in this world of competition they be given their share to hold the position.There should not be any kind of sexual harrassment.The employers should be held responsible for any such actions on the part of co-workers or any employees on the whole.Women should feel free at the work place and not see that they are in any way inferior to their male colleagues.After all they need to work together.
