Always do not compete just build yourself/nation
by Dr. Ashish Urkude on Sep 24, 2005 11:24 AM

Why we always think of competition? If India develops roads, it will be good for us. If India becomes developed nation it will be good for more than 1 Billion population and the nearby countries and the world. Every one goes hand in hand in this era of knowledge and communication explosion.
A better individual, city, country has no competitor than bettering himself syndrome. You compete over values than just madly comparing with any other entity.
Put the present state of India on left side and try to make adjacent column knowing what you want. The where does competition lies? Nowhere just a better nation/ entity.
Thus there is no competition in the world. You compete yourself only.

Infrastructure in India
by Mridula on Sep 24, 2005 06:30 AM

I am actually impressed with the idea of Public-private construction.

I think its high time that India start these kind of projects at many more cities.
Bangalore is one city which needs special attention and unfortunately no such plan is started yet.

Govt coming forward as just an investor in projects is great, but I think there should be proper Regulations too so that nobody misuses this.

Hope to see many more successful projects in near future specially in Bangalore whose roads are crying like anything..
