Why US love China? Is it only because of money, money & more money? The real reason is more politically driven than for any great business or corporate ambitions as being projected in the media. What then ignited this love story? USA, like a true global leader believes in the development and progress of the world and as a democratic superpower wants to reach out to all developing nations where it could provide support, leadership, competence and technology for the progress of mankind. China was one of them. The aggressive and arrogant posture of Chinese regime was a great threat to the world peace. China being also the most populous nation in the world. America realized that the best way to engage the Communists regime was to show the corporate side of America which is the superpower's success story. When the Chinese government brought in reforms at the behest of Bill Clinton, the then President of the USA, who led many historic dialogues with the communists, promised to sink all ideological and political differences and envision a new phase in the global economy scripted by USA and executed by China. The rest we all know is history...
Because its a communist country. They don't have to deal with Labour Unions or the public opinion about the environment. They just deal with one Dictator , bribe him and get their jobs done. They don't care even if their products are being manufactured in inhuman conditions or by prisoners. Its a win - Win situation for American CEOs and Chinese Leaders.
