I call it an opening of wisdom.

The man who invented this idea, is worthy to his position and human expectations relating to good deeds for the upliftment of the society. After many decades, it was really a worthy news to appear and to be enjoyed.
I am confident that such pacts will not only give ample opportunities to our students, but will also bring closure our two world great democracies, and establish platform to under stand each other's culture, feelings and oneness better.Which in turn improve their understandings at Govt's level. We must know and accept that greatness of these two countries rests in the doctrine of mutual respect and understanding and not in undermining each other, which in turn establish peace in the world by destroying terrorism jointly once and for all.
I wish all success to such pacts and expect that other premium institutions not only educational institution, but also Armed Force's institutions in India and in USA,shall follow this trend, set by IIT Roorkee and University of Texas.

Sorry but can't understand rediff has to give importance to this item.
Whats a big deal if UT signs some deal with another university in India?
Does it going to make any difference to overall research scenario in INdia?
Besides, what is UT going to offer to Roorkee. May some faculties, students will make a couple of trips to the US and enjoy, thats about it.
Believe me this kind of pacts will not do any good for Indian science or education as a whole.
We need aggresive approach towards quality education and useful research in India from the Indian Univesities, besides such pacts.

First, learn to type and spell, buddy!

Then, we will be sure to appoint naysayers like you to high posts in the Indian Government.

As someone said: In India, no one knows to do their job - but everyone knows to do the PM's job!
