The Greater Robbery

The greater cyber crime is something that never gets punished, rectified or addressed.

And that crime is using the "system" to plead helplessness and enforcing rules that make no sense.

State Bank of India for instance "automatically" deducts charges on unused cheque leaves when you close an account. This despite the fact that you are required to maintain a higher minimum balance in your account if you wish to avail of a cheque book facility.

SBI also "automatically" charges Rs. 20/- for a "bounced" cheque - or rather a cheque that was "bounced" by counter bouncers - because they misread and mistook the account balance to be lower than the amount on the cheqeue issued.

This Rs. 20/- never gets rectified despite repeated reminders - and the customer gives up spending Rs. 21/- to get a Rs. 20/- entry reversed.

Citibank has till date never been able to dispatch the certificate of closure of my loan which I closed 4 years ago because the "systems" in Hyderabad and Chennai never seem to talk to each other and the local managers can spend more hours arguing with me than try to do something about it.

These are BIG and RECURRING Cyber crimes
