MORON:LEFT
by Manoj on Aug 19, 2005 07:29 PM

It would be great to have the same Unions for IT/ITES companies .....so that India should reach where LEFT people want , just close to AFRICA.or may be below that.....with a billion plus population with no or zero industry, but full labour protection though without work ...

These Moron(LEFT)....does not understand anything....our focused would be to generate more jobs, temporary or permanent........so that more ppl can earn their livelihood.........

Our political system is committed to the MNCs.

And the fiscal system has to follow the politician.

All problems coming in the way will just be crushed.
and crushed mercilessly.

Be that labour, the local trader, manufacturerer or a service provider.

All MNCs in India are the clones of Akbar Badshah.

If labour resurfaces its head it will be beheaded.

Any shining process has to follow this formulae.

Otherwise it just cant shine.

Or at least our political and fiscal leaders so believe.

Because fundamentally and in all other aspects the stigma of that slave mind still persists with our leaders.

Americans for example can bare our Defence Minister.

Can we dare to do so with the Neanderthaal's DM ?

The day we will dare, we shall rule this planet.

LABOR PROBLEMS ARE THE CREATION OF MANAGEMENT AND POLITICANS
by waniwani on Aug 07, 2005 02:02 PM

Yes, we see the conflicts between employers and employees will increase in the coming years due to:

1) Central and State Govt. anti labor policies and appeasment of Business Group for getting more and more investements in the country wherein labor security is totally missing.
2) Business Group in India are in the habit of doing the 'Manmani' in their organizations and do whatever on employees. Employers are not interested to solve labors problems, but only interested to ask them to work as a slave more than 10 to 18 hrs without getting any perks.
3) Management are only interested to avoid paying taxes and amassing huge profits at whatever cost and making or diverting those money for their private pomp and splendor wherein employees are working in most of the establishments in a bad condition.
4) Management is interested to destroy and attack the labors or employees who are seeking genuine increase in salary or justice.
To solve this problem once for all, if India wanted to go for socialism, all the properties, industries should be the Govt. of India's properties so that there should be one employer, Govt. of India. Govt. in turn to give salary, service, protection to peop

India:Labour trouble resurfacing

Yes, there is an immdiate need for the labour reforms. Marching ahead with the projected growth rate India has to keep in pace with other countries as far as labour lawas are considered. There are pros & cons of both sides but they need to be properly implemented. Take for example the larger unions of larger companies currently tend to gain a lot with the exising labour laws....if they need to be modified the small scale industries interests need to be taken into account as they tend to lose a lot, there needs to be proper balance.

Labor problems
by Ranga on Aug 07, 2005 06:29 AM

Gourgon incident should be taken as a lesson to the liberalization policies. The govt is literally pledging the minimum labor benefit to MNC afraid of investment. There should be some law to protect our labours and working class.
