i had asked a person who was faculty at a prestigious intitute abroad where he would place ISB....globally that is....as a B school and he said in another 30 years it would probably fetch rank 30 in the U.S of A....forget globally!i'm not saying ISB is trash but the students there tend to build so much hype regarding the place when EVERYONE knows getting into ISB is not anywhere near as tough as getting into even IIM-K.forget IIM-A!
What has been mentioned about ISB is literally false. Please go through the following:
- The loans that they talk about lead to abnormal EMI's later on which most of their students find difficult to pay back.
- Most of the students get salary in the range of 6-6.5 lcs only. They highlight this avg salary of 9 lacs by adding dollar salaries of foreign placed students. No IIM does this. Else the averages at IIM's will go upto 11-12 lacs.
- I've never met an ISB student who had got through an IIM. ISB is mostly a resort for those who cant get into the IIM's. And an MBA is made by the quality of students which is generally lower in ISB compared to any IIM. You may refer to any IIM site and ISB site to compare the quality of incoming students.
- The infrastucture that ISB boasts of is being replicated in all the IIM's now. Obviously, there are hitches as IIM's come under HRD ministry. Newer IIM's like IIM-Indore have just similar infrastructural facilities like those of ISB. Ans all at 3 lacs only.
- Sponsored articles like this are a cheap way of misleading MBA aspirants.
