Selling their coins to the devotees is a good idea but what about the money they are getting after the sale of coins. They should use the money by building schools in the name of the God and second most essential service is opening the best schools for the needy and brilliant children who are devoid of studies due to poverty.

Tirupathi board should seek economic and financial help on how this non-moving asset can be utilised. 'Balaji' for sure will like to use this asset to alleviate some of the poverty issues Andhra and other Indian states are facing. I would suggest to do a proper study on what kind of investments can be made or what type of jobs could be created using the revenue from selling off these gold assets. The board could even think of sponsoring some of the poorest people in the area to start some self employment.

First of all, why should there be a situation that a temple has to take permission from state govt. for such activity? Few years back, in U.P.-Hindu temples and trusts had to be audited by government( it could be Government headed by someone who had no respect for Hinduism) while Moslem Mosques and trusts , and Christian Churches and trusts had no fear of any audit whatsoever.Only Hindus were suspected of wrong doing.Children of greater gods were more trustworthy! Now government there is acting on eqquality principle-and Hindu trusts and temple are also exempt from audit.
Government of Andhra should also stop interfering completely with TTD-they should be out of temple affairs completely. Are they into any activities conducted by any Minority Trust or place of worship? If not, they should try getting in there and see the treatment they get.TTD wealth should be reserved for development of Hindu social system only.It should not be utilised by secular governments-for such activities where Non-Hindus could be benefitted by it. Afterall -Hindus don't share anything from Minority trusts, which is exclusively reserved for minority welfare only.

The Trust of the Temple should take action and keep the gold with RBI so they can earn some funds from it & the same can be used for some welfare purposes like funding for schools etc.

Gold problem at Tirupati

There are many very old temples who do not have any jewels to decorate the Gods and Goddesses and even they do not have funds to do daily pooja and prasad of the Lord. If Tirupati is feeling sentimental to sell the ornaments they can use it for the purpose of other temples daily pooja and prasad cost. After all only humans do not want to share with the have nots, Lord Venkatesa would surely not mind sharing with other Lords be in any state.

Gold In tirupati temple

Dear Sir

I have a suggestion. WHy dont they construct a small temple for Lord Balaji, studded with GOLd, and stones. This small temple will be the most beautiful temple in the world. It would have gold ceiling, gold floor, golden murti, golden gopuram. In this way they can atleast save the embarassment of disposing the gold. If the idea is found suitable, kindly send it to the temple authorities or the government.
best wishes
partha

With all that money as reserves in gold ornaments of the Lord Venkateshwara temple trust, the state government can easily take a call and use it to the betterment of the people's life in the state. For starters they can solve the water problem of the state by investing in a mega water project. Like these there can be many other important projects that can be taken up, and then one day people can say that in the Land of Lord Venkateshwara one can live peacefully.
