More like a hanged software
by M K Jagga on Aug 31, 2004 05:08 PM

It is more like a hanged software which is not even responding to control+Alt+Delete.

One should not be surprised. It has many processors -Sonia, Manmohan, Marxists, Arjun etc. (I regret if I have disappointed any Laloo acolytes by not including him. But you can understand my predicament. A processor requires brain). The problem is that many a times all the brains are working and producing a mess of gigantic proportions.

It has many memories - Nehru's vision and Public sector orientation, Indira's autocratic functioning, Rajiv's period of new thinking which could not deliver, Narsimha Rao's reformist but corrupt regime. The access to memory is also randomized. You cannot access them by choice. The memories have their own sweet will which decides which one will be accessed.

Similar is the situation with output. One day it is Wajahat Habibullah foot mouthing but next day Aiyer regains the ground. Arjun pushes everyone back next day but Surjeet overshadows him next moment. So many people putting their feet in their mouths sometimes results in a state of total confusion and it is not possible to find out as to whose foot is in whose mouth.

God save the country. Jai Hind.

Clueless Government
by Bidendu on Aug 29, 2004 11:13 PM

The Government has been clueless since 15th August 1947. Therefore this is not a new phenomenon. The only conclusion that can be drawn is that clueless people get the clueless Government they deserve. One symptom : check out the performance of a 1 billion strong people at the Olympics and check out the performance of China. We were kind of at the same place on 15th August 1947!

ridiculously anti-Manmohan at some points :-
by Anup Bishnoi on Aug 29, 2004 12:04 PM

" But reports have also appeared about how unhappy he is with the Opposition's conduct generally. These reports serve only one purpose: they make the Prime Minister like an opening batsman complaining about fast bowlers. "

It is rather like an opening batsman complaining about bowlers RUNNING OUT OFF THE FIELD every time they are told to BOWL THE BALL or FIELD A SHOT, even disregarding the umpire (the Speaker) !!!!

Instead of governing, some of UPA ministers have brought discredit to it creating needless problems. Strikes have begun to recur. Inflation is on the rise. Government's action to induct officials of the World Bank and Asian Development Bank to advise them how to plan, what to plan, and how to go about evolving projects is certainly a retrograde steps. Nehru's soul in the heaven will turn 'red' in anger at the way his successors' government is behaving like this.

Yes, people are prepared to place faith in the calls of Tatas and Ambanis by responding enthusiastically to their issues rather than on those of Chidambarams. This is because governments have failed to function frugally and show results and much of the taxes collected go down the drain, through corruption and inefficiency.

There should be no wishful thinking on the part of the opposition of splits. Let them allow the elected government function. They will fall on their own solely because of their inherent contradictions. Meanwhile, the opposition will do well to put the government on the mat both inside the parliament and outside as is expected of them.

I dont think this guy lives in India..Ask most of the people in India or take a referendum and you will see the result..Most of the people believe that its the opposition and not the UPA who is disrupting the governance..I think along with Bania Jyoti Party, he is also a bad loser..

The government has many issue to handle, Manipur problem, Assam voilence, Lorry strike, Fuel price rise, Inflation, Kashmir, Pak and etc.

But they are indulging in unnecessary acitvities like, tainted minister, raking up Uma bhartahi issue, removing Veer Savarkar plaque, insulting opposition leaders, disturbing educational systems, Cauvery issue, creating Punjab water dispute and many more.

There are communists and other parties to force them to do unproductive works.

Certainly for this government - Press no key to stop.
