It is, undoubtedly, an ever known fact as mentioned in this Article that first the Government bodies and then the Trade Unions backed by Political Parties, they can be either the ruling or the opposition, have been a big obstacle for entrepreneurs in setting up industrial projects or their smooth functioning once these industries come up, as otherwise, being a land which is known for its rich natural sources in all respects and having a better manpower compare to any other states in India, our Kerala should have been the most business-investment-friendly-state second-to-none in this country.
My personal view is that the reputed Websites like rediff.com, etc. should come up with more such news, politically impartial, to make the Kerala politicians/Trade Unions enlightened so that the coming generation in the highly literate state at least will not require to depend upon other states or countries for jobs - Thanks a lot.
Dear Sir, Kerala can only have industrial growth and the state develop , if and only if the political leadership change their atitude and both the government and the opposition co-operate. I am a Gulf returnee and now having my own business. One thing I can assure everybody is that the staff and labour in Kerala are not bad it is the management that is lacking in their vision. It is how we manage and why should we blame the labour for the mis management. Labourers will co-operate as long we have strong management and they are fully aware of the potential if the unit or the business grows. Incentive shoudl be connected to the develpment and the profit.
How many people are there to accept this type of management.
Yes. The situation is pathetic.Especially for people like us who were forced to come out of Kerala in search of job and work under horrible conditions, treated like unwanted beggars.
But let us also not forget, a worker in kerala is most dignified worker in India. He is treated with respect, he gets his rightful dues, not at all exploited like any other part of the country.
Yes Kittex can go to coimbatore, where he doesnt have to pay the minimum wages, no provident fund, no gratuity, can fire any one at any time and even then those workers will respect the owner.
In fact we should build up a work ethics, not giving away the rights of workers.A mass movement to have proper awareness is needed.
such problems in kerala is going to stay. any government that comes there is not going to solve this issue. i would rather suggest that all those who wish to invest shall opt Tamil Nadu
