I looked all around the web but couldn't find a website where I could see their tanishq jewllery designs and prices........ If there is a website which I have missed then please can anyone send that website address to dutt_shanker@hotmail.com
To defend domestic share we need to develop the Spirit, capabilities and direction to achieve, Tanishq achieved this by building a new mindset, product development, innovation, risk taking and confidence to make it success. The management colleges should take this as a case study''turnaround of Tanishq''than taking international case studies og GE or INTELL.
Being a regular buyer of Tanishq jewellery,I have a strong feeling that there is still room for Tanishq to work on their princing as it has a premium price tag.In India where the majority of Gold purchases is made during marriages,It is the number that matters (tolas) and people will opt for jewels with a cheaper making charges. Also in investment point of view, Tanishq's making charges of Rs140-160 per gram will make the masses think twice.Inspite of all these I should admit that they have better designs and their brand name is highly respected that women folks take great pride in wearing them.
being a wife of ex tata executive i always prefer buying jewels from tanishq for its authenticity. hence bought my daughter's jewllery & satisfied one advice make more of specific wedding jewlleries keeping in mind of diff states of india
Priya G has captured the essence of 'Tanishq' Beautiffully, Kudo to Rediff and Priya G to come out with this story which is indeed different approach from a general news based protal. Kudos to entire management of Tanishq and Kurien. The feedback to the the article also provided the management critical feedback from one of their customer 'Ajitha' . I am sure agile team at Tanishq will take cognizance to Ajitha's feedback which is so curicial/cricital for their future growth. Its generation of Ajitha's which going to bring bulk of its revenue and profitability.
we have been regulars at tanishq for 3 yrs now. but sadly, each time we have found the brand failing miserably to provide good designs. most designs are too outdated, traditional/ ethnic and befitting older segment. even its range for working women are not good (lack finishing... they look good in the glossy ads, but a closer look puts one off). basic problem is that of variety.
i, for one, have never got what i was looking for. one keeps hearing "sorry we dont have that kind of design" ... "we cannot custom make it... dont have those moulds"... "that will take 2-3 weeks to get done"
i have always felt frustrated at tanishq while shopping for gold designs. they seem to emphasise stone studded jewelery more.
prices are steep too, particularly making charges. buts thts the smaller issue. why wud anyone want to settle gfor desings taht dont really please them. i wud rather go to a "fradulent" jeweller.. at least he will have a good range and immense willingness to custom make designs.
I doubt tanishq can do any better in future if they cant appeal to the "growing" younger segment who like simple, elegant jewelery.
The Turnaround in Tanishq's fortunes is a result of strong Micro-Management and its agility to respond to the changing customer trends. This ofcourse backed by the strong principles of business ethics and transparency which are the soulmark of TATA brand. Truly commendable and good example for other enterprises YET to show green
