Considering that the new 2003 Camry retails for around $22,000 in the U.S of A, I am a bit baffled that it sells for $40k in Bombay. Though import duties may result in a higher cost (inspite of the fact that 55% of the car is made of local components), isn't it ironic that a country of low-wages is selling goods at nearly double the prices of the developed nations?
