We don't have to feel overwhelmed with this figures.

The very reason why MNCs are hiring indian managers, is just to sell their crap to india.Plus indian managers are dirty chip.

If the event of globalisation is reversed for any reasons, you will see a sharp decline in this number.

It is as simple as if you wanna sell cheese in denmark, either you must know dutch or should be able to speak in same.

It was nice to read your article about the indian manager really making big in the global scenario,it is going to act as a motivating factor for the younger managers like us .Now different sectors like
telecom, construction are the new areas in india which is catching up with the global market quiet rapidly. In the coming year we are likely to make a steady growth in these sectors.

Indians at the helm of international business affairs!!
by rammohan on Aug 09, 2003 04:37 PM

This is an inspiring article to know that the indians are at the helm of international business affairs.

Its true that indian society with family values inherently cultivates business sense.

But today the need of the hour is to build more world class indian origin world class businesses in FMCG,other consumer product businesses to take our bigger pie in global market.

Girdling globe, a brilliant essay
by Thothathri Raman on Aug 09, 2003 03:13 PM

Dear Bhupesh

That was a brilliant feature, painstakingly put together through extensive research. It is an excellent subject for a management thesis. Things like
any common behavioural managemnet trait that connects these people who move abroad
defining the job environment which sharpens their skills,
the cultural adjustments that they and their family makes
the kind of learnings that they could pass on to other who are about to follow
....
many more

Brilliant work!

Trying to girdle the globe
by Nirav Banker on Aug 09, 2003 01:42 PM

Am 31 and working as GM (International Business) of one of India's leading pigments and dyestuffs (chemicals) conglomerate based in Gujarat. This is a lovely article and I fully agree with the same.

I too aspire to work for one of the chemical MNC's in Europe or USA but don't have the right connection/lead to find a job there - Can rediff.com help me with names of placement firms/recruiting firms who do foreign placements ? I would be too thankful. Pls. assist me if possible.

Best regards,
Nirav Banker
