I strongly believe that Pepsi contain the residue of pesticides to .05ppb (parts per billion). All the products which are from the ground contains pesticide residue to certain extend. Apple contains pesticide reduce to 15 ppb on and average which is 1000 plus times more that Pepsi, what we can do only to wash the apple and just eat it . and none of us have any objection ,
it is true that all this pesticides news if true is not so healthy .However one fact goes unnoticed is that if the ground water is the main culprit then what happens to those who use the same source of water and that too without treating it.
According to Narain if the top two mncs are using insecticides............., how do a normal human can understand that.........?when we want to have a soft drink.what can be the alternative ,as per the message every drink contains water.
I think we should have more broader view, know its not about any cola drinks or any bottled drinks any more its about good healthy living, we as Indian can not afford to live in unhealthy environment, and can not consume any dam thing...i think our govt and we people should know wake up and take notice of quality in any thing we consume or use from food to drinks to cosmetics to any thing which is related to quality.
what about the pesticides we take through furits like grapes, cucumber, and other vegetables... can sunita narain raise this issue.. then it will be real fight for securing the health of citizen at larges... otherwise, it is just to be in cheap limelight...... i request CSE to come out with such results if they dare..... i doubt there could be pesticides in such concentration even in most polluted ground water.... let the PML of CSE work it out correctly.... and should not create havoc on false data and make the people in large worried........

I agree Sundeep! The CSE is messing with fragile Indian minds (because face it, the majority of any society is illiterate and uneducated - this goes for EVERY country in the world, not just India) and so propaganda and yellow journalism can rear their ugly heads and make a difference, in the worst possible way.
Our generation drinks soft drinks like water. The current report on CSE shows how the two big gaints are looting on the health of countrymen. How can we let them play with the future of the country.
I agree there should be no second thinking and these brands should be banned throughout the country.
Again the laws must be made rigrous so that they produce the product of standard quality.
