i remember during my childhood days i.e. early 1980s we had a dedicated set of teachers. I was studying in a government school. At that time children of government employees, doctors, well-to-do families came to study in government schools. Why did this trend change? The recuitment process became flawed in later days. Corruption in recruitment of teachers became a regular affair. What dod you expect from such people who have become teachers by paying bribe. I know some teachers who used to come to school drunk. they can be seen smoking during school recess. such things were unthinkable in our times
