Why I didn't vote in Lok Sabha 2019 elections??
by Sandeep Singh on May 22, 2019 12:27 PM

because leaders of this land are not ready to take on actual grim issues before the nation and their millions of bandhua voters too are not willing to question them!
I didn't vote because India is groaning under the weight of exploding population and climate is getting ruined. The immediate result is drought of Maharashtra and Karnataka. I am still waiting for a political bigwig to speak out.
I didn't vote because politicians are not accountable for promises they make and also the allegations they make on political rivals. I have seen over the years that once a party gains power after making allegations on its rival, it forgets virtually everything about the allegations they made when they were not in power!
I didn't vote because India is not even in top 100 of water/air quality indices and per capita GDP even today. Politicians talk only of construction and infrastructure but they do not have any vision of something called 'sustainable development' in the mad race of votes and notes!
I didn't vote because the rivers of this country have been virtually killed and politicians are not willing to talk. Recently we saw lot of uproar on Rafael but nothing on rivers!!
I didn't vote because we shamefully boast of majority of cities in 20 most polluted in the world. The Swachh Bharat abhiyaan was limited only to broom, there is no plan for air and water pollutions.
I didn't vote because both politicians and people are indifferent to piling up of garbage at landfill sites.

They say choose the BEST DEVIL
by SHASHIKANTH K UPADHYAYA on May 22, 2019 11:57 AM  | Hide replies

BEST DEVIL of today's election will be the WORST DEVIL in the coming 5 years (he eat's so much and utterly corrupt). The WORST DEVIL of today will try to be BEST DEVIL in the next election to win.

I second that one should not VOTE at all even NOTA is useless.
Until a penalty system is there one should not vote at all.
Court also is corrupt and acts as per the ruling party.
Even EC is a POPPET in the hands of ruling party and biggest Opposition.
Purely an understanding between the BEST & WORST DEVIL to choose which election to win.

So we do not want ANY DEVIL, we want only GOOD PERSON.

EC is not puppet of anyone, don't make foolish comments!! But it is true that law makers will never institute a penalty system on themselves EVEN IF THERE IS CHANGE IN GOVERNMENT!!

Why I did not vote in Lok Sabha 2019 Elections?

“Do not do a wrong
Do not support the cause to do a wrong
Do not appreciate a wrong”

Sin for all three above is same, it was taught to us in our schools in our childhood.

Today’s elections in India give us one of the above three options only, we are given a choice to vote to a person who is not a person of commitment and on who is not at all trustworthy. No background of doing right things only and no assurance of his not doing wrong things because he himself is seeking vote in somebody else’s name whose credentials are equally bad.

Means, if I cast vote, I will either vote to a wrong person or will support his cause of bringing a wrong person in power or I will simply appreciate that wrong person for his wrong deeds out of any damn reason including fear.

NOTA does not serve any purpose either because it does not allow me to cancel his candidature straight away, I will pass through n-number of things before I reach to my goal, if at all that is possible.

In all above cases, I agitate myself, get into blood pressure and get into stress.

Why do all these things to bring wrong to myself and my dearones also???

Therefore, I did not vote.

No that is not true, 32.9% have not voted. If you take out West Bengal, Haryana and MP, this percentage for rest of India is even more than 40%. So, there are crores of people who would rhyme with this article, even if they are not responding!!
