My son's CBSE class X reult
by T Pal on May 10, 2019 01:35 PM

Hi, my son's CBSE class X result was also similar, around 60%. But I was also super proud of it. Because he suffered tremendously in academics since class v and could not pass in one chance in any of the classes in spite of long study hours and his best try. So I was very relieved and happy when he could pass in one chance and we even arranged for a party!

Examination stress
by Rao Mentreddi on May 10, 2019 01:28 PM

Peer pressure is killing students ( suicides/depressions) . Time we let children grow naturally without stress and shame. They are the ones' who become better professionals and good human beings. Parents - give freedom to your loved children.

Have you ever come across any Nobel laureate who was topper. In fact even to day what we are getting any progress in scientific field is due to that isolated student in village develop original thinking. Not 90% via craming or coaching. Weldon MOM

Einstein whose discovery lead to more than 25 Nobel prizes was treated in school as dull. I spend some time with twice Nobel prize winner in Physics John Bardeen (Transistor,Superconductivity) was average student. It is orignality of mind matters not % Give some name known to you , in India discovered any thing new some drug, some rule of nature etc (except CV RAMAN) even millions brillient student are passing with 90% I presume your theory is correct are right than every two year we should won some prestegiusaward award recognized eqivalent to nobel pprize. e pi Your thinking is very narrow. You do not know dynamics of learning.

You said no Nobel Prize winner ever was a topper. Your theory is ridiculous and very nonsensical. Most Nobel Prize winners are Doctorates who have completed their PhD's in their fields. People do not get PhD's without being academically brilliant. Your fantasies are foolish to say the least. One sparrow does not make a spring. You cannot postulate a theory based on one or two exceptions like Einstein. Our system of education is very low including education at higher levels, thats why we dont win Nobel prizes. You are truly living in lala land

Good that now more and more parents are after their children and not after mere marks.

Killiing percentage
by Soumitra Goswami on May 10, 2019 11:20 AM

This percentage war is killing our future generation. They are not enjoying education but under serious distress to continue it by achieving high percentage. This objective question should go and pass fail only criteria not ranking. Actually fail should not be there instead, school should take more responsibility of shaping the students based on their strength and also place him in right college without a badge on percentage or rank.
